Veggie Links
Some vegetable goings on in the blogosphere:
- Two of my favorite food bloggers, Heidi from 101 Cookbooks and Elise from Simply Recipes, got together to make some asparagus pesto. Yum.
- Hungry Mag (via Gapers Block) explains why wild leeks, or ramps, are the crystal meth of the vegetable world, and why you should eat them anyway.
- Thanks to YumSugar, I’m now intrigued by Japanese Bento (lunch) boxes, and can’t stop looking at pictures of them. I don’t know if I’ll ever spend that much time packing my lunch, but they’re certainly inspiring.
- Alanna from A Veggie Venture cooked up some Zucchini Mushroom Hominy Tacos from Rick Bayless’ Mexican Everyday. I haven’t had hominy in a long time, but I think I’ll be eating it again very soon.
